Finish - French Polish in Shellac
A very unique form in the shape of a butterfly from a reclaimed piece of red maple Burl. For this piece an entire cap of Burl was used. I allowed the form to take shape as naturally as I possibly could while trying ti keep the live edge flowing the whole way around the form. The figure and light colors throughout this piece of burl play very well with different types of light. It would make a great decorative piece, but also has the structure to hold any variety of items you might want to put into it. That’s for stopping by and taking a look! DJ
